Another recent project is procurement for m/v Chu- порту и не знают,

To provide repair services, Arctic Marine uses the
docks of shipyards in Arkhangelsk. Its repair projects in-
volve careful arrangement of work flows, hiring of ade-
quate personnel, and sourcing the equipment also from
abroad.
“When faced with technical problems while at ports,
many of the shipowners operating in the Arctic often
don’t know which company to turn to for good service,”
says Arctic Marine director. “We are a one-stop-shop
company and can deal with any technical or organiza-
tional task a ship may face while at the port. Arkhangelsk
is evolving today as an important Arctic port and cargo
transshipment center. Larger vessels are calling at it more
frequently than before. This means Arkhangelsk needs
to be able to offer better quality service, new technolo-
gies and improved repair facilities. We on our part are
doing our best to achieve this task by raising our stan-
dards to shape more advanced and civilized market for
port services.”
sian ports to follow. The one-stop-shop service has been
undertaken by quite a lot of companies, but there are
many obstacles to cope with as ports are lacking repair
premises, docks, equipment, qualified manpower. We are
a young company and we want to change the market.
We want to be able to offer a whole new level of service.”
Arctic Marine teams work 24/7, 365 days a year.
Whenever the ship should arrive at the port, the service
will be as prompt as possible. Semyon Streltsov says the
reason his company is able to meet deadlines at all times
is high qualifications of his team and co-managers:
“We have worked our way up from ordinary sailors
and know ships from A to Z. We know all the pitfalls
of service maintenance and repairs, and we know what
shipowners expect from us. They expect high quality
and we are proud of being able to offer it. To give one
example, we have recently been servicing a foreign ves-
sel here in Arkhangelsk port, and it turned out it had its
desaturator board malfunctioning for four years. Four
years! It could not be repaired anywhere for that ship.
We gave it to Arkhangelsk Electric Workshop and got
it work fine again.”

One project cited by Arctic Marine as a major over-
haul it did in cooperation with PKF Sivash, is m/v Kar-
