Bius traces its history to 1995. Since that year, it
has gained a vast amount of experience in diagnos-
tics, repair, maintenance, adjustment and fine-tuning
of general ship systems, information systems, naviga-
tion and sonar facilities, and reactor protection. Bius
has for many years been a contractor for the Russian
Navy and is currently considering a reorientation to
civil engineering market.
The company has a full-time staff of 243, of whom
nearly 70% hold specialized degrees. Its engineer team
has developed the technologies that made it possible to
modernize the obsolete components of the warships’
combat information systems and under-ice sonars,
while its IT team has engineered PC-boards, circuit-
ry and software engineering. All radio and electronic
components are installed at Bius’s specialized premises.
Bius adheres to the principles of import substi-
tution and uses solely the components of domestic
manufacture. The quality of its products is ensured
by the quality management system, incoming goods
inspection, certified measurement tools and modern
testing technologies for ready samples.
